Ready, Set, Grow! Coaching Through Performance Challenges to Help Your Team Thrive

Leading a research team involves partnering with each individual to support their career growth. It entails having initial conversations to establish the team and set individual goals, and forming ongoing partnerships to coach the team effectively. But what happens when a team member is encountering performance challenges? And how do you balance your focus between your high performers and areas where your team needs additional attention?

During this session, I will discuss how I’ve applied the GROW and STAR models as a coaching framework to open a dialogue and identify opportunities for growth. We’ll explore concrete examples to discuss the framework in action. I have shared it with my manager peers and directors at U.S. Bank, and now I will share it with you to help your team grow beyond simply skilling up. This talk is for aspiring and current people leaders as well as individual contributors looking to develop stronger working relationships with their managers.
