Everett “Ev” Swain II has been a designer for nearly 10 years professionally. A natural-born drawer with the mind of an entrepreneur, Everett was introduced to the computer in middle school and never looked back. Everett graduated from St. Edward’s University in 2012 with a degree in Graphic Design with very little direction on how to use his degree in the real world.

Inspired by an article about the rise of UX, Everett spent 3 years of self-teaching until he landed his first role as a UX/UI Designer in 2015. In 2018, he founded UXD Academy, the college for career switchers, to prove 2 things: that you actually can make money “doing art” and that any hardworking individual can successfully transition into tech, with or without a degree.
