Ali is a product thinker based in San Francisco. He was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, where he started his first company while studying in Computer at Sharif University of Technology. Later he moved to the United States to study design and focused on design thinking and lean methodologies to empower his teams launching products in rapid customer-focused cycles.
Ali is passionate about network effects, building online labor marketplaces, and optimizing them for specific verticals. He recently launched products in the Legal Tech and Education Technology industries, which resulted in creating thousands of job opportunities all around the world.
Ali is currently leading product design for the tutor experience at Course Hero in the San Francisco Bay Area. He’s also an adviser for various stealth-mode startups in the U.S. and Canada to include a marketplace for efficient product marketing in Toronto. Besides Product and Design, Ali loves playing poker semi-professionally and traveling the world.
