Moving the Needle on Diversity in User Research

In this talk, delve into a compelling case study about identifying the need for Inclusion in UX Research and taking steps to implement department wide change.

While conducting a usability study, Rajasi – a UX Researcher at MathWorks, discovered a significant geographic bias in participant demographics, with a focus on North America and Europe despite global product usage. This realization ignited a journey towards inclusive UX, as Rajasi embarked on gathering industry best practices and collaborating with the company’s DEI group to develop unbiased and inclusive demographic questions. The UX Operations team then setup a process to responsibly collect and store this information.

Join this session to gain insights about this journey towards Inclusive UX, lessons learned, and future plans.

The talk will benefit anyone who is:

  • interested in the intersection of inclusion and UX
