Venue, Travel and Transportation
All in-person conference activities take place at the Hilton Motif. See our Travel / Seattle page for helpful tips on getting there and local travel.
Check-in
You do not need to have a printed ticket when you arrive. Just tell us your name to receive your badge and other materials. If you received your confirmation from Eventbrite and have been receiving our emails, you are on the list and all set.
- Early check-in for the conference is on Monday, February 24 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Pacific time in the Foyer on the 3rd floor of the conference area.
- Check-in continues on Tuesday, February 25 from 8:00a.m. Pacific time to the close of each day.
- The first sessions start at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time each day.
Conference Website
Access conference information, including detailed session descriptions and speaker bios, at ConveyUX.com — the best and latest source of information through February 15. Prior to, and during, the conference we may adjust the schedule.
Virtual Experience
The Virtual Experience will take place in RingCentral — a web-based application. You will receive a RingCentral link before the conference, so you can set up your profile and your own conference agenda. RingCentral will mirror the in-person schedule.
You can access the event through your browser on a desktop or mobile device.
In the Virtual Experience schedule, we have annotated a few segments with “onsite” and “virtual” [e.g., Break (onsite) and Speed Networking (virtual)]. This occurs where virtual and onsite (in-person) activities overlap. With your In-Person Seattle Pass, you may participate in any activity you see in the Virtual Experience. Speed Networking (virtual), for example, is a lot of fun.
Attending Sessions
You are welcome to attend any of the sessions over the three days.
There should be enough seats in every session. But if you care where you sit you may want to get to your sessions early. Seating for most sessions is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Workshops on Wednesday are included with your pass.
Coat rack: There will be racks to hang your coat in adjacent to where you check-in for the conference. There is no charge. However, keep any valuables with you as the coat racks are not in a secure area. If you prefer security, check your coat or bag with the concierge in the hotel lobby.
Dress code: The ubiquitous “business casual”. Our UX participants enjoy a wide range of clothing comfort and style. It definitely isn’t formal and usually is more than a day at the beach.
Bring a sweater! We do our best to maintain a comfortable temperature in all rooms. But large venues can be finicky and you may want to have an extra layer.
Electrical outlets: As with a lot of conference venues, finding electrical outlets can be tricky. We will do our best with power strips. But, you should consider coming with a full charge. This is especially true for the half-day workshops.
Table tops: Several of the meeting rooms will have tables. Most of the seating is theater-style chairs. The smaller rooms may not have table space. There are tables in the lounge area and the lunch space is open when meals are not being served.
Luggage: The Motif concierge can check your luggage at no charge. The conference area does not have a storage space and it is best to not leave bags unattended.
Meeting Rooms
The meeting rooms for this conference are on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Motif.
Bookstore
Ada’s bookstore will be open in the Foyer during the following hours:
- Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Thursday: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Video Recordings and Live Streaming
All registered attendees receive access to video recordings of sessions. A comprehensive package will be provided to you in a password-protected location after the event concludes.
You can also get a look at the unedited videos using the RingCentral Replay feature. Each session video should be available approximately 30 minutes after the end of each session.
You are also welcome to watch the live stream of any session in RingCentral.
Slides and Other Materials
All registered attendees receive access to presentation slides and other materials. A comprehensive package will be provided to you in a password-protected location after the event concludes. Please note that not all speakers elect to provide their materials for distribution.
Code of Conduct
The ConveyUX conference has a Code of Conduct that we expect attendees to adhere to. For related issues contact Joe Welinske: 206-304-1687. For immediate assistance with an emergency, dial 7777 at any house phone or go to the reception where you entered the conference facility.
Food and Beverage

We can introduce you to the Banquet Captain at the conference if you have any questions or concerns about the offerings. Also, feel free to bring your own food supplements if you have specific needs.
We will post the menu in this space the week before the conference.
You’ll be directed to where to find the food and beverage service when you arrive and throughout the event.
- Breakfast is served each of the three days beginning at 8:30am and continuing through 9:15am.
- Lunch is served on Tuesday and Wednesday. We conclude before lunch on the Thursday.
- Light snacks will be available throughout the event.
- Appetizers will be served at the opening Tuesday party. Check for a drink ticket in your badge pouch.
- There will be water, soft drinks, coffee, and tea available throughout the event.
