Mark Lapole
Director of Accessibility • eBay

Campbell, California

Mark’s entire career has involved making things easier for people to access, understand and use — mostly in the digital space. In his early career, he worked as a web developer, information architect, and UX designer for both small and large companies. More recently, specifically focused on accessibility at companies that include Thomson Reuters, Google and eBay. He has spent 10+ years influencing and leading accessibility efforts at eBay.

Mark thoroughly enjoys that intersection of design and engineering, especially when it results in a more usable, accessible and delightful experience. And learning from and sharing experiences with others in the industry. He also volunteers with the Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Palo Alto and San Jose, CA.
