UX Design for Spatial Computers/XR

Lately, the topic of Spatial Computer is becoming more and more relevant, the world’s leading companies are introducing their devices to the market and more and more people are starting to use them. In the middle of 2024 the number of people is already in the tens of millions and this number will grow strongly in the coming years.

But here’s the problem, for the last 40 years we have been interacting with digital objects only through the flat screens of our computers, phones, TVs and tablets and this has obviously left an imprint on us, putting us in a frame from which it is difficult to escape. But it has to be done, because this is the secret to creating truly worthwhile Spatial Computer/XR products that harness the power of technology and create truly useful and unique products to change our world.

I want to share my experience in creating an interface for such products, tell people about tools and tips I use in the design process to break out of 2D patterns and start thinking spatially.
