Stephanie Searphina has an MS in Human Factors and has worked as a research and design engineer for the last 16 years in the medical device industry. For 8 years she has lead Ilumina Consulting and finds great reward in working for medical device companies such as Intuitive Surgical, Siemens Ultrasound, Medtronic, Calibra Medical and EKOS. Prior, she was the Director of Systems Engineering for Sonosite, a portable ultrasound device. Working in the medical device industry became her passion after a normal ultrasound exam changed her daughter’s life forever.
