Rachelle N. Ornan-Stone, Ph.D.

Dr. Rachelle N. Ornan-Stone is a design researcher / experience designer for aerospace and alternative environments. She has a diverse aerospace background including the design development of aircraft flight decks, International Space Station on-board processes and systems, space hotel concepts for NASA, and CST-100 Starliner concept interior and lighting. Currently, she directs research related to Boeing aircraft interiors and bridges communication between sales, marketing, engineering and airlines to ensure a commercially viable, preferred product which maximizes revenue. Ornan-Stone holds a PhD in experimental psychology, a master’s in Industrial Design from North Carolina State University, and a background in neuroscience. She is an avid hiker, backpacker and competitive synchronized swimmer, who always looks for unicorns and rainbows.
