Gareth Cook

Gareth Cook is a Pulitzer Prize-winning magazine journalist, a contributor to the New York Times magazine, and editor of the New York Times bestselling series The Best American Infographics. He is also editor of Mind Matters, Scientific American’s neuroscience and psychology blog. He has served as the Boston Globe’s science reporter and editor of the Globe’s Sunday Ideas section. He has also worked for the Washington Monthly, Foreign Policy, U.S. News & World Report and the Boston Phoenix. He is a graduate of Brown University, with degrees in International Relations and Mathematical Physics, and lives in Jamaica Plain, MA.
