Kim Wiessner combines customer-led product design with a passion for getting people outside at REI Co-op; where she serves as a principal UX for digital experiences. In this role, Kim drives digital strategy, product discovery and design thinking for a wide range of REI’s offerings including retail, adventure travel, local classes & events, mobile app, membership and employee experiences.

Kim’s career has spanned a diverse range of digital product and service team collaborations; from nimble tech-led startups to global financial organizations (HSBC) and enterprise innovation teams (USAA). Her ability to craft vision, be patient yet persistent, lead through ambiguity, build strong relationships and ask tough customer questions has served as the foundation of career.

Kim’s specialties include product innovation, design thinking, digital product strategy, cross-functional collaboration and facilitating organizational conversations.
