Building a design thinking team? How do you assess its design thinking maturity and use insights gathered from those assessments to improve the ROI around your team?
A focus on impact metrics may reveal your team’s ROI for executive-level buy-in but it won’t provide the sort of diagnostic feedback needed to promote growth in your team’s design thinking. And though you’re amassing wins, without that feedback you’ll miss critical opportunities to proactively influence the team’s impact on ROI. Based on preliminary results of secondary research and interviews with UX practitioners, this talk highlights what design team leaders should look for in their team’s reasoning and performance and why – from a design strategy and operations standpoint – these 9 attributes are critical for tracking and cultivating the maturity of your design thinking team.
The talk is expected to create a space where practitioners discuss an important yet immature area in UX design namely, formative and diagnostic assessment of design maturity. One particularly powerful outcome would be a ConveyUX special interest group around this issue.
