Purpose-Driven Digital Health: Designing Solutions That Improve Patient Health Outcomes

As healthcare costs continue to rise without a corresponding improvement in health outcomes, this is the time to leverage digital tools designed to improve the quality of clinical care. Supporting the effective integration of digital health into the healthcare marketplace means developing a patient-centered framework for designing solutions. An effective framework comes from an in-depth analysis of the patient healthcare trajectory, while evaluating existing and potential digital tools that improve health outcomes.

This presentation combines such an analysis with an overview of the patient journey, along with a review of the underlying factors that influence patient health outcomes and therefore merit special consideration. This session will also review digital solutions that may mitigate the impact of some social determinants on patient health outcomes.
