Product design in technology has evolved as a discipline, from the early days of asset production and user interface logic, to the “keeper of the faith” for product definition. This is a natural transition that has impacted many industries, from fashion to auto design and now it is at the center of the transformation of approaches to digital experiences. In a world where many or most of the functional aspects of a given product are largely commoditized, the quality of the overall product, the experience and the way that experience influences how customers feel about themselves becomes the focus. This talk will focus on how Microsoft is apprehending patterns, embracing inclusiveness and inspiring love – leading with creativity in the next generation of product experiences.
