Lessons learned from a burgeoning DEI practice within a UX design agency
Like many organizations, Blink UX was moved by the protests and activism in support of the Black Lives Matter movement in the summer of 2020. It was during this time that they created an internal DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Committee to put some action against their values.
In this session, Alexi will share what it looked like to form this committee, what specific steps and programs Blink enacted, and will discuss the challenges and lessons learned along the way. She’ll cover everything from project planning and getting stakeholder buy-in to creating frameworks and roadmaps.
Blink UX is still in a nascent stage with their DEI efforts, and this session is meant to be a transparent discussion with a goal of inspiring teams and encouraging collaboration.
