Addressing the Core Issues of Data Visualization Accessibility

Data visualization is an extraordinarily important aspect of the way we consume information in our modern age. However, visually communicating data such that people can easily gain insights from it is a goal that is often missed. Even more difficult to achieve, is delivering this information in a way where our blind and seeing-impaired data consumers are empowered to gain insights along with our seeing consumers. This talk will explore approaches and methods for data communication that will challenge many commonplace and problematic ideas and practices.
