Sam Zaiss is fascinated by others’ stories. He’s spent the past 10 years as a UX Researcher at Microsoft supporting products for developers, advertisers, and data scientists, all the while building an in-depth understanding of his customers. As Data Science began to emerge as a field of study, Sam was determined to not miss out on this emerging storytelling technique, so he enrolled in UC Berkeley’s Master of Information and Data Science Program. Today, Sam leads a team of UX-focused Data Scientists, who are tasked with representing the quantitative perspective of the customer journey, in close partnership with their UX Research counterparts.
